Last time on MPD, Shizuo went to Shinra's, questioning the doctor on Izaya's recent behavior. He learned of Izaya's twin brother, Psyche, who seems to be nothing like Izaya himself. Yet new!Izaya is still fixated on Shizuo, stating that they were going out.

Umm, REALLY really sorry I didn't post Wednesday, I was busy with school crap >< apologies. And also, I might break that bi-weekly rule this month of November for the Nanowrimo contest going on. I'd be much obliged if you guys would understand, thank you ^^

Chapter Seventeen: First Date 1

Izaya hummed to himself as he dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans, facing Shizuo with a grin. "M'getting out of the hospital today~!"

"E-Eh?!" the blonde blinked, walking over to the raven haired man. "Already? You… heal pretty fast, don't you?"

The childish informant grinned, donning a white jacket similar to his black one he used to always wear. "Apparently~ Ne, ne, Shizu-chan, let's go on a date!"

"Hah? What're you talking about, Flea? A date? That's ridiculous!" Shizuo exclaimed, turning away from Izaya. 'Especially when you're not yourself… it'd be weird…'

Izaya wrapped his arms around Shizuo's arm, smiling. "C'mon, s'not like it'll kill ya to go! We can have a picnic in the park or something~!"

"I-I told you no already!" the bodyguard stuttered, face heating up as the two of them made physical contact. "Why do you wanna go on a date with me anyway?"

"Because you're my boyfriend!" Izaya grinned, pulling Shizuo's hand to lead him out of the hospital. "Come on, please Shizuo~?" carmine eyes stared innocently into brown ones.

Shizuo relented, unable to refuse the younger man. "But we don't even have food…"

"We can just get some sushi on the way~! Ootoro is the best!" Izaya proclaimed, stepping out into the fresh air.

"Hnn, so you still remember your love for ootoro?"

"Some things are easy to remember," the ravenette turned to Shizuo, grinning. "So we'll be eating sushi at the park, right?"

"Hmm, yeah, sure, if that's what you want…" the blonde scratched the back of his head, feeling people staring at them. 'I suppose it's weird… Ikebukuro's menaces walking side by side on a date. A date… with Izaya…' he flushed a bright red. 'W-Wait, but this…this isn't Izaya…'

"Haha, Shizu-chan looks so cute like that!" Izaya poked the blonde's cheek teasingly.

"Sh-Shut up, Flea," the bodyguard growled lightheartedly, swatting the pale hand away from his face. He saw some people whispering and shifted uncomfortably. "Hey, I'll go buy the food, you go and get a spot at the park, kay?"

Izaya huffed, shaking his head. "No way! I'm paying! I'm on top!"

Shizuo blushed at how loudly his lover had exclaimed such a fact. "Of the world!" he laughed nervously, pulling the ravenette away from the curious crowd of people. "Don't just shout things like that…"

"Eh? But it's true…"

"W-Well yeah, but it doesn't mean everyone understands it… 'cause we weren't exactly on friendly terms before…"

"But we're boyfriends!" Izaya pouted, hugging Shizuo.

The blonde sighed, patting Izaya's head. "Yeah, yeah, but we didn't flaunt it around in public," he uttered. "Don't think I'm ready for that just yet, either," he admitted.

Izaya sighed, nodding. "I'm still paying though."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll go on ahead to the park then," Shizuo called, getting out of the alleyway and heading for the park. He lay down in the grass, the breeze blowing his blonde locks this way and that as he closed his eyes.

A shadow loomed over him and Shizuo opened his eyes, widening them when he saw who it was. "K-K-K-Kasuka?!"
